There are many people with children in the -5 age group that either have or have children with immunity deficiencies that would benefit from have the state buy the vaccine. But desanitis travels in the trump train. Screw those people.

Agreed. This is how right wing politics continues to hurt ppl over and over again. With that said, I believe the vast majority of kids should be fine without the vaccine. Those who have an issue can probably be taken care of by paxlovid, unless the parents have an issue with science.
