Sooner or later something will have to be done since countries like Lebanon are overwhelmed with so many people trying to escape the war.

Beirut (AFP) - Overwhelmed by a massive influx of desperate refugees, Lebanon began imposing unprecedented visa restrictions on Syrians on Monday, including those fleeing their country's civil war.





"Today we began implementing the new entry measures and Syrians at the borders have begun presenting their documents to enter," a source at Lebanon's general security agency said.

The visa restrictions are the first in the history of the two countries and come as Lebanon struggles to deal with more than 1.1 million Syrian refugees.

Lebanon isn't even a real country anymore, soon the refugees from Iraq, Syria and potentially Iran in the future will displace the population.

A country with about as many refugees and it's own population. Dangerous situation especially with hezbullah and a stale mate preventing a vote on a new president.
A country with a floundering government that is not even paying it retired officers pensions or those it owes money to for services.
Million + $ housing on $50,000 a yr income. No longer a tax shelter for banking.
Lebanon is a mess. Most families have at least one member working outside of Lebanon because it pays better. It is the only way to cover the bills in Lebanon.
It is a sad situation and a potentially dangerous one.
