Finally Mark Levin!

Amendments are, in fact, rewriting the constitution. I would like to hear some amendments you think should be introduced that would address corruption in government. I am betting that getting the big secretive corporate money out of the picture is not one of them since conservatives love their politicians to have real cozy relationships with big business.

Here are a few ideas

1) Repeal the 17th amendment

2) Pass an amendment implementing the Fair tax and abolishing all other Federal Taxes and repeal the 16th Amendment

3) Pass an amendment implementing zero based budgeting

4) Pass an amendment enacting term limits. Change the Presidency to one six year term so Presidents don't campaign from office, limit Senators to one six year term and congressmen to three 2 year terms

5) Pass an amendment to require all bills to state the Constitutional authority that justifies the Federal power in the bill, take Judicial Review from the SCOTUS and give State legislatures the power to declare Federal bills Unconstitutional, say with a 2/3 vote of legislatures

6) Pass an amendment stating the Commerce clause allows Federal authority over interstate trade only, not intra state trade, and it gives the Federal government only the power to expand trade, not restrict it

7) Pass an amendment allowing States to invalidate Federal laws in their State

8) Pass an amendment stating States are not bound to the union but are in the United States voluntarily

9) Pass an amendment Stating that the Federal government must provide Constitutional rights for tax collection and for Federal initiatives like the "war on drugs"

10) Pass an amendment requiring 2/3 vote in each house for tax increases

11) Pass an amendment to make earmarks Unconstitutional

12) Pass an amendment to require the Federal government to treat all it's citizens the same

All that stuff is supposed to fight government corruption? Nothing for the too-cozy relationship between the big money and government? Nothing to address election spending? Nothing to address lobbying? Seems you care more for how the government spends than how it gets in bed with big business and sides with them against the American people.

Corny captialism would no doubt be address at the convention
Not from what I've seen so far, conservatives talk about hating crony capitalism but demand their politicians be "business friendly" to the point that they are lapdogs of big business.
This is a political board people, have their own opinion here. Crony capitalism will be address by true conservatives. it's a cancer on our system
Got any specific ideas? I would really like to hear them.

Your persecution complex does not count as an actual justification to declare war on the United States of America,

I am hardly alone!

You are right, there are a lot of spoiled dumbasses out there who sit in their comfortable homes and engage in fantasy insurrection on the internet saying whatever they want about the government without the slightest fear of reprisals and somehow still feel like they are oppressed. Quit playing the victim you poor spoiled little infant.

Sure thing Commie Kid, how much taxpayer cash are you getting each month?
Zero, how much you drawing in SS and medicare you leech?
People drawing SS and Medicare paid into it during their working lives. That was 2 dumbass questions. Plus, people drawing SS pay for their medicare each month. Also taxes to support deadbeats and leeches.
Yeah all that money you paid in is spent, taxes from people who are still being productive carry you as much as anyone on welfare and medicare spending is highly subsidized. Quit acting as if there is some difference between you and a mom on food stamps, the government decided that it would be bad if either of you starved.

Do you dummies actually think you could hold such a convention and leave the liberals outside and deny them a say in the matter? Not on your fucking lives you fucking fascists.
Liberals are the reason why a Convention is needed.
No amount of monkeying around with the constitution will bring back the 1950s or maybe you would prefer the 1850s? In the extraordinarily unlikely event this thing happens you guys are not going to be able exclude liberals and reset the clock to some magical time when things were perfect for white protestant males.
We are taking back our country. The first thing we will do is make liberalism a crime. Socialists will be imprisoned and atheists forced to pray to Jesus or pay a fine.

Term limits would certainly help, baring former memembers of congress from becoming lobbyist after leaving office would also help, more transparency with political contributions would help as well

Coburn: Convention of States Needed Because Washington Will Never Fix Itself
March 5, 2015 - 12:49 PM
By Barbara Hollingsworth

Former Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.)

(CNSNews.com) – “Washington is never going to fix itself,” said former Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), explaining why he intends to spend the next few years trying to “cheat history” by helping to organize the nation’s first-ever Convention of the States.

The purpose of the convention will be to rein-in a federal “leviathan” that he says has overstepped its constitutional bounds.

Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, two-thirds of the state legislatures can call a convention to propose amendments to the Constitution that limit the scope and jurisdiction of the federal government.

Alaska, Florida and Georgia passed Article V resolutions last year. Two dozen other states are also considering that option.

Yo, Mark Levin wrote a book about this, and trying to stop this out of control, lawless, Punk, Obama!!! Hope they can get her done!

Coburn Convention of States Needed Because Washington Will Never Fix Itself CNS News

:udaman::udaman::udaman:

"GTP"

"OBAMA HATES AMERICA"

Welcome Home!

Now... The ONLY way to GET IT FIXED within the Convention is to recognize what BROKE IT! To know THAT, we must know what IT was, before it became "BROKEN".

What it was, was governance resting in American Principle... . And American principle is first and foremost OBJECTIVE... which recognizes that ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL BEFORE GOD... which is NO WAY refers to the means of any man... in any terms. Thus all men are equal before the law and the ONLY way that is possible is through OBJECTIVE reasoning.

Thus, Relativism... or subjectivism, Leftism, Liberalism, Progressivism... OKA: "that which BROKE IT" is necessarily disqualified participation in the discussion.

Remove the Left and THE PROBLEM is removed.

Excepting term limits, those are big progressive goals.

Do you dummies actually think you could hold such a convention and leave the liberals outside and deny them a say in the matter? Not on your fucking lives you fucking fascists.

Well, that's the nature of war.

The Convention merely provides the LAST OPPORTUNITY for the Left to recognize the situation for what it is, and to take their position as passengers on the culturally viable train and hopefully to understand that they're jsut lucky to BE HERE!

I agree that there's no chance that they'll find the strength of character to do the right thing... which again, is the nature of war.

This topic is getting dumber by the minute, conservatives like to make accusations of liberals not following the constitution but here we have a bunch of conservatives wanting to go under our nation's hood and start monkeying around with the belts and hoses. One comment would require abolishing at least three amendments of the bill of rights. It's you guys that hate the constitution because it will not allow you to have the single party fascist nation you desire. So now you talk of of civil war to get what you want? Well, all I can say is get your gun and go out your front door and get it started.

Or, they could act like pussies and stay home.

What is 40 states write a new Constitution, and ten big Blue States don't like it?

Which is more effective to prevent a bank from being robbed? Hiring a bunch more corrupt guards and hope they cancel each other out instead of working together to rob the bank themselves as you propose doing or moving the money out of the vault as I propose doing?

I come here to discuss politics and current events with folks who are intelligent enough to follow along.

Intelligence of course referring to blind adherence to the Democratic Party

Odd since I have voted for far more Rebublicans than Democrats

None of you leftists are Democrats, it's amazing
Lol and none of you nazis are racists. Go figure

That one got away from you, didn't it?

Obama can't possibly be President, there isn't a Democrat anywhere, they don't exist. Democrats are all Republicans. Romney must have won unanimously

I am with you on the first and third, but how do you justify the second in a free country? Rules like that just inevitably end up being a game to get around and they are never consistently implemented. With the first the second would be less of an issue anyway

Your metaphor is confusing. They say the best way to rob a bank is to own one, well, who owns our government? It's the big money corporations and billionaires. No conservative has the slightest desire to cut their strings so all this talk of corruption is bogus.

Becoming lobbyist right out of office is unseemly there should at least be a waiting period of a few years

You're speaking of Crony-Capitalism, which is what is otherwise known as Progressivism (fascism).

And the only way to fight that intrinsic corruption is to disqualify those who are known to be adherents of such from participation.

You can't solve a problem which is comprised entirely of Left-think, through the application of left-think.

Oh that's fascinatin'...

Cite the Amendments and we can discuss each one.

(And Civil War is the inevitable consequence of subjectivism in governance. What this exercise does, is to flesh out the reasons WHY nature requires war, the purpose of it and why it is the solution to problems where on people come to feel that their existence provides them a right to the property of other people.)
