Ferguson isn't about black rage against cops. It’s white rage against progress.

'When we look back on what happened in Ferguson, Mo., during the summer of 2014, it will be easy to think of it as yet one more episode of black rage ignited by yet another police killing of an unarmed African American male. But that has it precisely backward. What we’ve actually seen is the latest outbreak of white rage. Sure, it is cloaked in the niceties of law and order, but it is rage nonetheless.

Protests and looting naturally capture attention. But the real rage smolders in meetings where officials redraw precincts to dilute African American voting strength or seek to slash the government payrolls that have long served as sources of black employment. It goes virtually unnoticed, however, because white rage doesn’t have to take to the streets and face rubber bullets to be heard. Instead, white rage carries an aura of respectability and has access to the courts, police, legislatures and governors, who cast its efforts as noble, though they are actually driven by the most ignoble motivations"

"A little more than half a century after Brown, the election of Obama gave hope to the country and the world that a new racial climate had emerged in America, or that it would. But such audacious hopes would be short-lived. A rash of voter-suppression legislation, a series of unfathomable Supreme Court decisions, the rise of stand-your-ground laws and continuing police brutality make clear that Obama’s election and reelection have unleashed yet another wave of fear and anger."

Lol! No evidence, just opinion. Liberals don't need no stinking evidence.

When Jimmy Carter was president I was a management trainee in DoD. I had been hired in 1975 on the basis of a high score on the "Professional and Administrative Career Exam" (the "PACE" test). This test was the main tool for hiring people who were going to be, basically, administrators and managers for the Federal Government.

But "African Americans" simply couldn't compete on that basis. The hiring decision was limited to the people who got the top couple of scores (small preference given to Veterans and more to Disabled Veterans). So for a couple of years, outside DC (where the government types do whatever the fuck they want to to do), so-called "Black" people were simply shut out of federal government administrative careers.

So Jimmy Carter decreed that the PACE test would not be used any more, and the Office of Personnel Management was going to re-write it in such a way that "minority group members" would "pass" in the same proportion as so-called "White Devils."

We just laughed. There is NFW and no such test that could achieve their declared result. And after a little while of fooling around with that concept, they finally gave up, and decided to do their hiring on the basis of school grades and less tangible qualifying factors. Message: We are going to hire a certain percentage of "Blacks" regardless of what anyone thinks or wants. So if you graduated from Bob's Community College with a 3.7 QPA, you were viewed as being superior to someone who graduated from the University of Chicago with a 3.0.

And this is really what gave "Affirmative Action" a bad name.

They were hiring people who couldn't, on the best day of their lives, put together a coherent, logical paragraph, and promoting them to management positions It was necessary to promote them, of course, because they couldn't actually do competent work, and by making them managers it was usually possible to hide the fact of their ignorance and incompetence, because they had competent, "White" subordinates.

Can you understand, "window dressing"?
Just imagine that scenario for 350 plus years and you have white AA.

Blacks do not perform poorly because of what happened to their ancestors generations ago. They perform poorly because they are intrinsically inferior.

That's complete nonsense.

Black people who are taught or otherwise develop an attitude that they can achieve whatever goals they desire in life and work to achieve them are no different than whites, Hispanics, Asians, or anyone else, who desire the same out of life. They educate themselves, not always formally, work hard, and strive to attain those goals. It's that old American Dream that so many have have grown to experience throughout our history, warts and all.

And let's not kid ourselves about any white superiority. There's no shortage of white people who also go through life never having developed such an attitude too. And the same goes for every other racial group.

I sometimes wonder if the many people back in the 50's might have been right. There were many that claimed that integration would never work. It is very difficult for anyone to say it has been a great success. Perhaps communities that are predominately black should have nothing but black peace officers. As silly as many think this might be perhaps when you dial 911 I am black send a black officer or I am white send a white officer. Really as long as the likes of Al Sharpton and many others continue to spread the "we are so oppressed" feeling among the blacks things will never work out.
I've never gotten the message that Al Sharpton wants Blacks to feel oppressed. I've always heard the facts as to what was going on and what Black people needed to do in order to demand justice. My problem with Sharpton is that you cant get your justice from the person giving you injustice. Sharpton is barking up the wrong tree. You simply make your own justice.
