Worse, Palin's routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, "Sit down, boy."

That group has become so consumed with hatred and bitterness and McCain/Palin are only feeding that hate because they have nothing else to give them. They don't have solutions to their problems, they don't have answers to their questions so they feed them hatred. Served up like Sunday dinner and those faithful to the conservative movement are going back for second helpings.

It's really sad and very frightening to see that the Republican party as a hate group but that is what they are becoming.

And the funny thing is that the press isn't even allowed anywhere near her. Her entire experience with the press consists of Katie Couric, basically. And Katie is a cream puff.

These people frighten me, and I will be really unhappy if they continue to wield power.

Most blacks I know fully expect Obama to win. There is a huge drive in the black community to get him elected. I seriously doubt there will be peace in the South if he loses. I hope I'm wrong.
