Congressman Devin Nunes filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday against opposition research firm Fusion GPS, its founder Glenn Simpson, and left-leaning watchdog group Campaign for Accountability, accusing them of “racketeering” and interfering with his congressional Trump-Russia investigation.

Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee until Democrats won the majority in 2018, claimed that Simpson, Fusion GPS, and the Campaign for Accountability illegally conspired to “harass” him in an attempt to “hinder, delay, prevent, or dissuade” him from looking into issues surrounding the federal investigation into the Trump campaign and the Russian government, and to scare him off from investigating possible wrongdoing by Simpson and Fusion GPS.

Comey not out of hot water yet: Next IG report may find he broke the law signing off on bogus ‘Spygate’ FISA warrants

Fired FBI Director James Comey was recently found by the Justice Department Inspector General to have violated several policies and rules in releasing, without proper authorization, a series of memos he wrote following meetings with President Donald Trump in early 2017.

And while some of the memos contained classified information — which would have been enough to charge and likely convict ordinary Americans of Espionage Act violations — the Justice Department declined to pursue an indictment.

But that doesn’t mean that Comey’s out of hot water just yet. In fact, former FBI Assistant Director Kevin Brock, writing in The Hill, thinks that the next report from IG Michael Horowitz will contain some legitimate legal entanglements for Comey because he signed off on warrant applications filed before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court using ‘evidence’ — the “Russia dossier” — he himself testified was “salacious and unverified.”

It will be as successful as the Covington school boys lawsuit against CNN.

The dirty little secret regardless of the outcome of the law suit is that so-called opposition research firms like Fusion and Media Matters have become agents for foreign anti-American propaganda designed to undermine the administration and the social fabric of America. The hard core TDS left and the mainstream media tends to go along with it because of hatred and disappointment about the election but the crazy left consistently makes the error of judging the opposition on the basis of their own ignorant core.

This is a nuisance lawsuit and nothing more.
