For me to know and you not to find out.

For the musically uneducated, a falsetto is a term used for a male singer who can sing well above his natural range. For my opening salvo, I present Mr. Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire as the BEST example of a falsetto in the business. In his prime, is range can rival that of many female soprano range singers.

Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles and Poco has a naturally high pitched voice, but he also has a rich and mellow falsetto beautifully displayed on the Eagles' hit "I Can't Tell You Why". Just as an aside, Don Henley can also belt out the high notes. Most evident on "One Of These Nights".

From the early days of Rock and Roll and the Doo-Wop groups to the classic R&B/Soul ensembles of the 1990s, the Falsetto, along with the contrabass voice, are an integral part. Here is the Stylistics with their classic Soul hit from the early 70s.

Iam Gillian is a baritone. He was belting out some very high and very powerful notes in this classic.

I'm not a fan of falsetto.

There are good songs with it in there, though.
