In Conservistan...content=credibility. If you agree with what you see; the source is credible. If you disagree, they are not credible. Its that simple.

What’s the point of offering up a link to a topic if typically left wing links are fake news.. and besides, most thread topics are typically off topic within 5 posts.
and.. mods need more time for their tea and crumpets .. zzz ..

There's a few reasons;
1) It lets readers know if the topic of the post/thread is a fabrication from the mind of the poster (OP= Opening Poster), or of some other mind available to the broader public.
2) It lets readers know if the link used as a basis for a post/thread really states and supports what the poster thinks it does.
3) It gives insight to the sources being used by the poster and others of that political/ideological leaning.
4) If it's a source seen previously, then the reader might know whether to bother clicking for more details or just skipping that link-source and taking it as a gaige of the mindset of the poster.
5) Sometimes "fake news" links/sources are used to illustrate the fallacy of posts by another poster.

On the extremes perhaps. The problem you have is that the entire GOP is in the “extreme” camp at least until November. After then, you guys will begrudgingly admit that you’ve been acting like garbage and were conned. The only question is whether it happens late this year or in 2028 when you vote for whatever “swamp” creature gets the nomination.

Has the Gateway Pundit ever published something you disagreed with diabolically? Have they ever printed a retraction?

If this site had a rule that if you cannot prove the facts in posted articles aren't true, you cannot attack the source. You wouldn't have anything to reply on.
