Again we see how shameless CON$ are when they lie. After repeatedly being told that it takes 60 votes to end debate and allow an up or down vote on the bill, CON$ just continue to lie that 50 votes fell one vote short, Reid's, of the necessary 60 votes. CON$ pretend to be that stupid because they have convinced themselves that if, like Reagan, you are too stupid to know you are lying then you are not a liar.As is typical of CON$ervative pathological liars, they never quote anything accurately so they can play dumb as they lie. You were so dishonest you didn't even include the ellipsis to show that you cut the quote in mid sentence! You left out the quote from your link that says, "The final vote tally was 50 to 49, after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid switched his vote to "no"". Reid cast the deciding vote that put the brakes on Obama's bill. Truth. Read your link.
Here is the full quote with the part you dishonestly left out:"The final vote tally was 50 to 49, after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid switched his vote to "no" for technical reasons -- under Senate rules, casting his vote with the majority allows Reid to revive the bill at a later date if he wants."
That is the same technical rule Dole used to change his vote to the majority on the term limits vote that was part of the "Contract On America" so he could bring the bill up again.
But even independent of your premeditated lying, Reid did not cast any deciding vote as the vote to end debate and allow a vote on the bill fell NINE (9) votes short of the 60 votes necessary to bring the bill to a vote before Reid changed his vote. But as a CON$ervative know-it-all, you knew that already.
Hmmmm, that didn't seem to bother you when YOU cherry picked quotes from the article did it? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Bottom line, Reid cast the tie breaking vote to kill the bill.........in a procedural move. Question, has he revived the bill to date? If not, then who is preventing Obama's bill from being voted on and passing? Not the Republicans, but the Democrat Speaker Reid. Why is he obstructing jobs bills?
You really suck at this.
REAGAN (11/13/86): We did not, repeat, did not trade weapons or anything else for hostages, nor will we.
REAGAN (3/4/87): A few months ago, I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that's true. But the facts and the evidence tell me it is not.
