I guess I should have titled this thread--"why they did it" instead.

What's really unbelievable about all the push-back from the bleeding-heart crowd... is that they have no sympathy for American citizens who are having to deal with this mess. It doesn't matter to them that armed "drug trains" are coming across our border. It doesn't matter to them that ranchers are murdered, that hospitals are shut down, that schools are overrun.

All they care about is the politics of the situation. They want hispanic votes for their party. It's identity politics. They assume that hispanics will all vote together. And for the sake of political power, they REFUSE to enforce immigration law.

Last night, I caught a few minutes of Frank Luntz interviewing some Arizonans, and one piped up with the usual 'go after the employers' argument. But that's only half the equation. Too many people don't see that our federal government's REFUSAL to enforce our laws and secure our borders is the moral equivalent of employers hiring illegal workers. BOTH entice these people to cross our borders. BOTH should be held accountable for it.
