Expert warns driverless cars are too unsophisticated and dangerous - read more

"As global high-tech companies rush to be the first to develop fully autonomous driverless cars, an Australian expert has warned they might be moving too fast."

"Our technology is too unsophisticated — the sensors that are being used in many of the vehicles just aren't quite good enough to allow the vehicle to take complete control," she said."

Thoughts on driverless cars? Would you ever be a passenger while there is no driver? (only driven by technology)

i also think its too dangerous and risky

The driverless car is 25 years away from being viable. And why would these be needed to begin with?

The moment this movement will be stopped is when one of them gets in a wreck and a child dies. Or many. Then the outcry will be loud enough. Sad but that is what it takes many times for people to wake the hell up.

Everyone wants to have cars drive them around, and machines to clean up after them. They have rights.

Because its so much safer with people driving.

I've seen the drivers of this country and none of you are deserving of a license.
