I am not that interested in the relationship Venezuela and Columbia have with each other. Therefore I am not that knowledgeable about it. I’m not a citizen of either one of those nations. I’m more conserved with America and its standing in the world. At the same time, if Chaves of Columbia bullies other nations in a similar fashion as Bush of America bullies other nations, than I hold equal criticism toward Chaves. It is as simple as that.

Chavez supports the terrorists fighting the DULY elected Government of another Country. And now he is moving troops to the border to protect those terrorists. THAT alone is an act of war. I have no idea what Chavez is up to regarding his economy and to be frank I don't really give a rat's arse. Anyway he sounds like a right prick. I don't agree with interference in another country's internal affairs so everyone else should stay out of it because if we gave a toss about people in failed/failing states then we would have got rid of Mugabe a few years ago.

There are some similarities to Zimbabwe, but it is more similar to what happened to Latin America in the 1970s and 1980s. Many of those governments who imploded their economies back then - Argentina, Paraguay - were right-wing as well as left-wing.

Today, there are some well run left-wing countries in South America, such as Brazil and Chile.
