Evaluating moral declines

When i was a kid (in the 50's-60's) we never even thought about locking our doors at night. We could leave things outside and they wouldn't be stolen. We never thought twice about picking up a hitch hiker, or letting someone inside to use the phone if they broke down. It's completely changed...especially now with so many people out of jobs. I don't live in a big city, and it's bad enough here, i can't imagine living in a large city like New York!

believe it or not there are still some rural areas like that.
