I'm really quite surprised that the denial of Putin's threats have become so critically important to Americans lately.
That partly because the accusations against Putin's nuclear related threats were so recently being broadcast by the media! Maddow must have mentioned it at least a dozen times.

Maddow had no idea at the time that her rhetoric was flying in the face of America's propaganda.

The goal now is to downplay any real threat coming from Putin and Russia. And the reason is that fear in the American psyche will override their acceptance of the propaganda.

How interesting!

The situation is unique to this war against Russia by America in that none of the other 35-40 wars of aggression since WW2, *came fraught with any danger of the other side getting in their licks.

This war suggests 'licks' in spades!
