The European Union turned down a request Tuesday by Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to blacklist Hezbollah as a terror group after last week's deadly bombing in Bulgaria.

"There is no consensus for putting Hezbollah on the list of terrorist organisations," said Cypriot Foreign Minister Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, whose country currently holds the rotating EU presidency.

chill...each arab vote in the UN represents roughly 35, 000,000 arabs. each israeli vote in the UN represents roughly 5,000,000 jews. sounds like to me the arab peoples are under-represented seven fold.

Hizballah is committed to armed resistance to the state of Israel, and aims to seize all Palestinian territories and Jerusalem from Israel. Its military wing supports terrorism in Iraq and the Palestinian territories.

It’s a shame that the EU hasn’t yet decided to take a stand in solidarity with other nations which are on the right side of combating Islamic terrorism. I suspect that the EU conglomeration is letting political niceties get in the way of affirmatively condemning Islamic terrorism.

Let’s just hope that it doesn’t take another Madrid train bombing or 50+ people dead in London for the EU to understand that Islamic terrorism is a worldwide plague that is furthered by all Islamic terrorist groups.

Clinton also plans to pledge an additional $5.5 million in U.S. humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees. The new measures are unlikely to placate Syrian rebel forces who have asked for U.S. military equipment and aerial protection in their increasingly bloody fight against Assad. In sessions with Assad opponents and Turkish government leaders, Clinton plans to discuss options that do not go as far as direct U.S. intervention.
