El Rushbo Tells Caller if they Couldn’t Afford $6,000 They Shouldn’t Have Broken Thei

Well said slackjawed. I would have been less subtle and asked pig boy what kind of car he drives, what brand of sneakers he wears and how many tattoos he has. Then I would give him a math lesson. A grown up should have six months wages in the bank. In case they have unexpected medical expenses or something. Sorry. No sympathy from me pig boy.

In the real world, there are a tonne of people who live from pay check to pay check because they get paid fuck all...

There is no one who should live pay check to pay check. Many people do, but if they planned more carefully and were more strict with their purchases, they wouldn't have to. And they certainly wouldnt have to if the government wasn't making them work until april to pay off their taxes for the year.

Really? So a full time worker at Walmart can afford to pay a mortgage, run a car, pay health insurance, food, utilities, school fees etc - and we're not even going near 'luxuries' like going to the movies, cable, car stereo etc....

In the real world there are also people who can recognize someone who is down, and find it in their hearts to help them.

But wankers like you just have to go about things by forcing other people to pay for your "benevolence", whether they can afford it or not.

In what way am I forcing anybody to do anything?

which is why one of every two elderly people is below the poverty line without social security...

Tell that to people who got laid off and are living off of unemployment. IN a perfect world, your solution would work.
In an imperfect world (y'know, the one we live in) a lot of people plan a little leeway for such unexpected events.

Why should those who don't look ahead as such be rewarded for their failure to do so?

Some people don't have the luxary of looking ahead, some people don't have any extra income.

Oh, and that's supposed to be some kind of evidence of the "success" of OASI, Medicare/Medicaid, state programs, and all the other trappings of the socialistic welfare state?

Seriously?

it's pointing out that the world isn't such that people are just 'taken care of' by the good will of others.

i think at some point people also have to make moral choices about what we do as a society. some people don't get to stockpile money while they're working. some people have things happen in their lives that prohibit their looking forward.

and mostly, huge percentages of people are two paychecks away from being homeless.

social security is not welfare...its getting back your own money.

and the pathologic hatred of government in some parts of our society is bizarre....

Which is why ALL civilised countries have a safety net (not a hammock) at the bottom of the cliff.

But wastrels like you see it as 'socialism' and 'sucking off the public teet'. The thing that cracks me up, is Duds like you think that people who rip off the system are the norm. They're not, but it allows you to justify your position....

What your pointing out are non sequitur bullshit statistics, more suited to suckers who fall for appeals to emotion.

If your beloved idiotic socialistic nanny state programs actually worked as advertised, you wouldn't have those sob sister stories to peddle to the gullible.

Well, unfortuantely, we arent in a perfect world. So sometimes it's necessary to make difficult choices and prepare ourselves so that when we do go through tough times we are prepared.

Charity is nice to recieve when times are right. But we shouldnt be expecting it or feel entitled to it. Life sucks sometimes. It's time we stopped excusing our behavior and did the hard things in life.

Many people live pay check to pay check, with all their income going to things like food, rent, diapers, car payments, etc. If you want to get cheap products, expect to have to deal with the fact their will people who have to live off of crap wages. And it is real easy to say they should of planned for it, or they should of gone to college. What would you do if everyone planned for life? You sure as hell wouldn't be able to get those sweatpants at Walmart for $4.

Bullshit.....Those programs serve the middle and upper-middle class bureaucrats who administer them, much more so than those they claim to "serve".

"Wastrels" like myself see do-gooders like you for the suckers and rotters that you are.

If you care so much about the indigent, get up off your dead ass and start a charity to care for them....Lazy ass.

I like you to say that to someone who lost their home because they had the misfortune of getting cancer, and couldn't pay for their prescriptions, or pay over inflated medical costs. And this doesn't only happen to people who don't have health insurance.

If they are living within their means. yes.

All people start off sucking at their mommy's teat, too.

My best friend in the whole damned world was killed by pancreatic cancer last spring, and nowhere near all her middle class assets needed to be sold off for the treatments she received.

Back the fuck off with your weak-assed hypothetical anecdotes...You have NFI.

I do more than my fair share towards charities. Do you?
