Most thinking folks know that, just as the more astute said years ago....Global Warming is a scam and a fraud.

Freedom works put this out....it's a kick:

"In 1970, the first Earth Day was celebrated .... predicted death, destruction and disease unless we did exactly as progressives commanded.

1. "Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind." — Harvard biologist George Wald

2. "Man must stop pollution and conserve his resources, not merely to enhance existence but to save the race from intolerable deterioration and possible extinction." — New York Times editorial

3. "Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years." — Stanford University biologist Paul Ehrlich

4. "Most of the people who are going to die in the greatest cataclysm in the history of man have already been born… [By 1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s." — Paul Ehrlich

5. "It is already too late to avoid mass starvation," — Denis Hayes, Chief organizer for Earth Day

6. "Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions…. By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine." — North Texas State University professor Peter Gunter

7. "In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution… by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half." — Life magazine

8. "At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, it's only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable." — Ecologist Kenneth Watt

9. "Air pollution...is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone." — Paul Ehrlich

10. "By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate… that there won't be any more crude oil. You'll drive up to the pump and say, ‘Fill 'er up, buddy,' and he'll say, ‘I am very sorry, there isn't any.'" — Ecologist Kenneth Watt

11. "[One] theory assumes that the earth's cloud cover will continue to thicken as more dust, fumes, and water vapor are belched into the atmosphere by industrial smokestacks and jet planes. Screened from the sun's heat, the planet will cool, the water vapor will fall and freeze, and a new Ice Age will be born." — Newsweek magazine

Warmists....serving their role as comic relief.

Speaking of jokes.....Barack Obama selected one of the major nutjobs as his Science Adviser: John Holdren.

I kinda thought that life on Earth DID end circa 2010. But maybe that's just my bad attitude.
Those kind of fanatical delusions DID accelerate some of the clean-up.. But it all could have been
without the hysteria and the Kool-Aid party..

Maybe scare tactics is what the intent was to try to get folks to wise up that as strong as Mother Earth is, she is not invincible. Eventually she will balk...and then look out.

That worked OK for the Medicine Men in primitive tribes.. I'd like to think we're better informed and motivated by things other than scary stories and magic. But dammit Gracie -- you could be right.. Maybe we don't need all that science and reason. Just start the Hunger Games and let it rip.. And toss a few virgins into volcanoes just for completeness..

My grandfather said temperatures were changing and the weather was bad because of the atom bomb.

His father told him the weather had gone to hell since heavy artillery was used so much in World War I.

His father told him the cause was all the gunfire in The Civil War.

His father blamed it on those damned indians shooting arrows so far up in the sky.

Need this continue?

Bear shits in the woods for a reason. Birds hold their butts outside their nest for a reason too.

We keep shitting where we live, eventually it will cause problems. We are shitting on the earth and there are a helluva lot more "we" than when grampy and grampy were around. It can only take so much. Oh, earth will survive. But will we?

That last sentence say so much that most "concerned" fail to comprehend. "Saving The Earth" is not something humans can do. To believe so is the ultimate arrogance. Best we might do is to save our own sorry butts. But is that in the best interests of the planet?

Open question, no?

You got it bass-ackward gracie. Look at the freaking mountains, really look at them. See the strata standing vertical when it was once horizontal? Mother earth withstood the separation of entire continents and still does. Does anybody think "mother earth" was responsible for the ice ages? WW2 dumped more junk and shit and pollutents into the oceans than the entire history of the human race but the ocean survived and the site of horrible wrecks and oil spills in the Pacific are now "national underwater parks". The Truman administration even kicked natives off their island home to blow the freaking reefs and the ocean to smithereens with nuclear weapons and today the only problem the scientists can find is a shark with an extra fin. I would submit that mother earth is invincible but the sun is the problem.

There is no man-made global warming.

There is a Left wing devised plan to take control via global governance.

If they convince enough folks, they will be able to administer every single aspect of your life.....from which toilet to use, to what kinds of light bulbs......to taxing your shopping bags....

....Oh! They already do......
