I am not sure what your point is.

The figures show what we already knew -- Germany had a well-developed economy, and it was superior in technical, educational, and cultural development and organization, also.

Had Germany pressed its advantages home with a sensible foreign business strategy, rather than its distressing tendency to militarism, it could have achieved international hegemony -- anyway, better than played-out Britain or incompetent America.

In fact, I think there is only one way Germany could have avoided becoming the premier country of the 20th century -- and that was the course that it actually took !!
