Kid Rock is hardly the archetype conservative. But there is no denying he is American to the bone. What does it say that the left both fears and hates anyone who is for the American flag, apple pie, and liberty?

The left has festered a culture of anti-Americanism. It culminated with the ultimate anti-American - Barack Insane Obama. The left was convinced that their "apocalypse" had arrived and the demise of the U.S. was not only eminent - but also inevitable.

That certainty (in their mind) has lead to their shock and rage over the realization that Donald Trump won the election, Republicans are in control of both chambers and an overwhelming number of states, and that there are elections on the horizon which seem to favor Republicans further. They are terrified. The author says it herself.

Does being American to the bone qualify him to represent the good citizens of Michigan in the United States Senate? Come to think about it, what are Kid Rock's qualifications?

He may be considered a talent by some, though you could not verify that by me. He does a sterling job showcasing and forwarding decidedly low brow culture by way of crass and boorish lyrics, sub culture couture and appearance, and a flagrant disregard for folks who disagree with his xenophobia.

And yet, those very characteristics are what draws birds of that peculiar feather to the husk stern buffoon Donald Trump.

What they collectively represent is something we as a nation should be remorseful about rather than celebratory. They represent an erosion of our national image, discourse and values. There are currently a base constituency who embraces the crude over the erudite, the boor over the statesman, the common over the respectable and the charlatan over the virtuous. What a sad indictment of our modern civilization.
