It’s Democrats who control where crime is spiking. Yes, the left is trying to tell you it is “red states” where crime is up, but it’s blue cities in those red states. It’s also worse in blue cities in blue states, Democrats are just cooking the books to hide their failures.

I always say if you control the unit of measure you can control everything, you can get any outcome you want. Here’s how it works with Democrats and this argument on crime. If a Republican town had one murder last year and two murders this year, and increase of one murder isn’t all that alarming. But if you say there has been a 100 percent increase in the murder rate, suddenly you get attention. Meanwhile, if you have a Democrat city with 1,000 murders last year and 1,100 this year that’s only a 10 percent increase. But if you look at the raw numbers, 100 more murders is WAY more troubling than 1, even though neither is good.
