one thing most of us can do....give blood....the summer shortage is already here....and if irene does have an impact....blood will be needed....they give you cookies and free drinks....takes about an hour of your time.....please consider it..esp if you have one of the rarer blood types.
it does hurt a wee bit.....but you are allowed to scream and rest assured there is always a bigger wimp there.....and you get to watch someone sadder than you are....okay i was the only one who screamed....i was the saddest of the lot...and they still took my blood.
