List of countries by GDP (PPP) per capita - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not counting tiny little countries packed with oil or gold or chocolate, the United States is the wealthiest MAJOR nation on Earth in GDP per capita. We are even wealthier per capita than --- wait for it, SAUDI ARABIA.

TRUMP IS WRONG ABOUT AMERICA.

The world is not taking advantage of us.

Free trade is working for us and to the advantage of average Americans. We pay less for goods and services than almost every other country. We eat well, and even the poor have too much food and losing weight is more of a problem then hunger.

China is not ripping us off. They are providing manufactured goods to us cheaper than we can make ourselves. If it were not for trade with China, we would pay more for almost everything they sell us, and we would have a lower standard of living.

Our system of alliances is not a rip-off for the United States. If these alliances were not in the American interest, past Presidents would not have spent valuable effort to enter into them. Even Obama has continued the policy of expanding our alliances, checking China in the Far East, for example, and Russia in Eastern Europe. Putin's brinkmanship is the military equivalent of erectile dysfunction. He is powerless to stop us from making friendships and alliances with former Soviet satellites.

People who live in small towns where factories have shut down have options. They can leave town and find jobs elsewhere. There is no economy that is not going to have pockets of dysfunction. But no one in America is required to stay in an economically dysfunctional location.

Ghost towns and boarded down mines and factories will happen in any kind of economy, and exist in every country in the world. Trump's attempt to use such places as proof that America is being taken advantage of is a lie.

The reason poor people live unemployed in economically depressed towns is because the federal government supports them with social security, disability, AFDC, EDT, Section 8 housing, etc. Were it not for all these federal benefits, people would move to where the jobs are.

When one is dealing with statistics based on per capita size of the country doesn't matter and the US is ranked 10/9/12 and just barely above Saudi Arabia. Not sure what your point is.

How you say, by not only counting GDP but accumulated wealth of the US populace....which is around 99 trillion...

Saudi Arabia is a very wealthy country. All citizens get a share of the oil money. The only people who have to work are the immigrants they bring in to clean the toilets.

LOL, you can't even support the title of your own thread. Also, don't you think our $20 trillion national debt and $200 trillion in unfunded liabilities should be factored into our "wealth?" Do you know what a balance sheet is?
