I amso IR, et al,
Time plays all manner of tricks to the accumulation of knowledge. It wasn't until Edwin Hubble's joined the observers, at the Mount Wilson Observatory, that man discovered that universe was bigger that just the Milky Way; and the universe was expanding. In 1905, Albert Einstein proved the existence of atoms in his paper on Brownian Motion; and similarly, James Chadwick (Cavendish Laboratory - Cambridge) discovered the neutron about a quater century ago.
Like Diogenes, I will be an eternal Cynic. But it does not preclude your belief being just as important. Although it is important to remember that an argument is sound if and only if it is both valid (the truth of the premises guarantees the truth of the conclusion), and all of its premises are actually true. I'm not sure if any deductive argument for the existence of a Supreme Being or Ultimate Cosmic Entity can be said to have every premise provable as true.
Most Respectfully,
R

(COMMENT)And yet, here we are largely unexplained in this huge universe which continues to grow by the minute. Begging your pardon, however I will stick with my God as the explanation is simple for simple people. Get used to it fella, however you may personally think.
