Zone1 Do most people have an established tipping point

that defines an irreversible moment in government? It's not like a meteor strike will doom the US, it's more like the death of a thousand cuts. I had always thought martial law would do it for me, but we seem to be accepting limited versions of this as long as the narrative seems semi plausible. Runaway inflation, poor job outlook, lawlessness and drug crime, endless war, immigration burdens, civil disobedience, corrupt politicians and media, poor performance in the educational system, etc and no one really seems to care. I guess as long as there is some hope. real or imagined, we will plod along until it is really too late to react. Do nations actually know when they've shit the bed, or do they just go to sleep?
They have a tipping point IF THEY IN FACT TIP
But how can you state that this point is not a matter of will whereas all before it is.
