What is the solution for those who have a condition prior to getting insurance but cannot afford to pay for the treatments and cannot get insurance either?
Do we just let them die?
Do we have the Govt pay for them?

It has been made far more costly BECAUSE of The State interfering in the marketplace, not despite it....The proposition that the very people who have fucked it up, now need to take it over completely as the solution, is a level of stupidity that is off the charts.Except that healthcare can cost tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, of dollars. An amount most people can't afford to just pay out of pocket. Which is, of course, why we have insurance.
If heathcare was reasonable, I might be more inclined to agree. But it isn't. Only extremely rich people can drop a few hundred grand for healthcare.

Easy. Take your money and give it to them. Then both of you will be happy.
10s of millions Americans would be affected by this. Either conservatives do not even understand this subject, or they believe it won’t affect them personally. That’s their “I got mine - fuck everyone else philosophy”. Of course once they realize it will affect them, only then would they support the protections.
