Do conservatives not understand how important it is to protect pre-existing conditions?

10s of millions Americans would be affected by this. Either conservatives do not even understand this subject, or they believe it won’t affect them personally. That’s their “I got mine - fuck everyone else philosophy”. Of course once they realize it will affect them, only then would they support the protections.

That’s America for you.

Insurance is for the unexpected...You don't wreck your car, then go to your insurance agent demanding collision coverage for your "pre-existing condition"... Either socialists won't understand this, or are just plain stupid.

That's the GIBSMEDAT! culture for you.

You idiot. The point is that healthcare shouldn’t be treated like it’s insurance. You equating car insurance as justification for rejecting healthcare coverage is ridiculous

You moonbats are the jackasses who've equated mandated coverage for automobiles with Ocommiecare's mandates...The shit cuts both ways.

Eat it, chump.

Your mistake is equating healthcare with health insurance... two totally separate things.

Good grief, when did you make parole.

Except that healthcare can cost tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, of dollars. An amount most people can't afford to just pay out of pocket. Which is, of course, why we have insurance.

If heathcare was reasonable, I might be more inclined to agree. But it isn't. Only extremely rich people can drop a few hundred grand for healthcare.

“Hello? State Farm? I have a pre-burnt house I need to get fire coverage on. Democrats say you owes me”

What is the solution for those who have a condition prior to getting insurance but cannot afford to pay for the treatments and cannot get insurance either?

Do we just let them die?

Do we have the Govt pay for them?

?

Which is obviously a different situation. Most people don't have their houses burn down. Pretty much everyone needs healthcare, especially as they get older. So ...

Why in the hell will none of you recognize the wisdom of letting liberals pay for each other’s healthcare. Jackasses. This would solve many problems. Forbid them only their god and savior, the federal government , but allow them to donate their own money to each other for health treatments.
Wait...they can already do that.
So what’s the problem again?

Easy. Take your money and give it to them. Then both of you will be happy.

It has been made far more costly BECAUSE of The State interfering in the marketplace, not despite it....The proposition that the very people who have fucked it up, now need to take it over completely as the solution, is a level of stupidity that is off the charts.

While I make a very good living, I do not have enough to pay for them all.

And I am already paying for one person with a preexisting condition due to no fault of their own.

Next suggestion?

Then I am sure you have a solution in mind?

Everyone needs food, too...Shall we now have The State run every aspect of the farming and grocery businesses?

You do not have much contact with the Ag industry, do you? The Govt is far more involved in that than they are in healthcare.
