Did you know the state with the most wind power is a republican state.

1. Texas (12,212 MW)
3. Iowa (5,137 MW)

OK has 3,100 MW
Idaho has 970 MW

S.D 784 megawatts(23% of energy generation) Renewable energy in South Dakota - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
North Dakota had 1445 megawatts (MW)

Wind power accounted for 11.4% of the electricity generated in Kansas during 2012. 2011 1224mw Wind power in Kansas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1412 mw WY

The republican Plain and upper midwest states are doing pretty good! I hope to see all these numbers double over the next few years. What I want to see is the southeastern republican states get into the game. ;)

Hey republicans...Let's beat the leftist states in every category of energy!!! Wind, solar, nuclear, hydro, etc.

When we finally develop a method for storing megawattage of energy, wind, solar, and the rest of the intermitant energy sources will come into their own. The costs of the renewables is coming down, and most have no externam costs like coal.

The core strength within renewables like wind, solar and wave is the fact that we don't have to move the stuff to the sight. Oil, coal and natural gas has to be mined and moved...

I think some of the more intelligent republicans can also see this and that's why they're investing in it.

Nebraska wind incentive bill now law
Richard A. Kessler

.

Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman reluctantly signed a bill into law that offers a sales tax breaks to companies that invest a minimum $20m in renewable energy projects.

For wind, the provision applies to turbines, blades and towers.

Lawmakers who support the bill say it will invigorate Nebraska’s wind energy production which badly lags neighboring states, who have offered similar tax incentives for years. Nebraska had 459MW of wind generation capacity on 1 January, versus 5.13GW in Iowa, 2.71GW in Kansas and 2.3GW in Colorado, according to the American Wind Energy Association.

TradeWind Energy, a developer based in Kansas, had told the Nebraska legislature that it will invest as much as $400m to build a utility-scale wind farm in the northeastern part of the state if the measure became

Both Nebraska and Kansas are REPUBLICAN STATES. Some republicans can see that wind power is good!

Never did understand some of the GOP making alternative energy and global warming a political issue. They can only lose on both scores. Not only is the price per watt of alternatives steadily going down, but the economic independence a home solar installation, combined with an EV, can give I would think would be something to be desired for the families.
