Actually, it would. 'The Cosby Show' had precious little to do with being Black. The entire point of the show was to have a normal, upper-middle class family in a sitcom that weren't white but without using ethnic humour.

The scripts would work just as well with actors of any race.

'The Force Awakens', was bitter-sweet for me. I will NEVER get back the excitement I experienced queuing up for 'Star Wars' (it was never originally marketed as 'A New Hope') -- New London, CT 1977.

I loved the original trilogy so was so excited to see 'Phantom Menace' -- Hong Kong, 1999. I'm still suffering PTSD from that particular war crime.

So, when 'Force Awakens' came out, I went to see it --- Melbourne, Australia 2015. It was OK, but it's like watching your EX in a porno -- conflicting.

I'll see the rest of the movies as they come out. They are entertaining and not too hard on the brain. But, I will never experience the magic of the non-CGI originals again.
