We spend far too much, yes, and have been doing so since Reagan.

when obama took office the national debt was around 10T, today it is 18T, by the time he leaves it will be over 20T. Obama will have added more to the debt than all previous presidents COMBINED.

Yes, we spend too much. But your hero is the worst in history at deficit spending. and , no, he did not inherit it from Bush. It occured on his watch, 10 T in debt belongs to Obama.
Our GOP went right along with him. As did the Dems with Reagan, and the corporatist and neo-con GOP with Bush. The system is broken, and both parties are at fault.

And any idiot who says the war on poverty is a failure is a demonstrated idiot.

After you have lived through a few Republican Presidents and Congresses, and a few Democratic Presidents and Congresses, you find yourself gobsmacked every time someone makes a claim their party is fiscally conservative while the other party is a bunch of profligate spenders.

You wonder how the poor rube received such a severe head injury which causes them to parrot such nonsense.

Yeah

The only republican that understood the power of the veto was Ford, invoked regularly, however congress chose to proceed as they wished.

One fact the graft fails to disclose is the wonders of the bubble economy and effect it has on increased tax revenue.

Graft in that its dishonest and one sided without consideration as to economic environment.

It shocks me when progs rely on emotionally charged blogs while they fail to understand how government works. About 36% of democrats approved of boots on the ground during the Bush administration and then they undermined the mission. When democrats won the majority in both houses of congress midway into Bush's second term the Senate decided that steroid use in Baseball was a major concern for the United States and in the House the chairperson of the Banking Committee which had oversight responsibility for Fannie Mae apparently decided that lying to the American public and allowing Fannie to go under was good political strategy.
