Blame school security?

The school doors were locked and secure at 9:30 a.m. with a video camera and buzzer system that can allow entry after that time from three monitoring locations. Lanza simply shot through the plate-glass window next to the lobby door to enter the school.

A 911 call was made at 9:35 a.m. It took less than five minutes for the police to get to the school. About a minute later, Lanza shot and killed himself. The first officer entered the school at 9:44 a.m.

In that tight time frame, it seems the only thing that could have stopped Lanza was a good guy inside the school with a gun. There were no armed security guards at Sandy Hook Elementary School, nor did any of the staff have a weapons.

Yes...we should pass them out, one per kid as they enter the school...of course the 5 year olds could probably only manage a .22 or possibly a .38 snubby.....but we could make sure they didn't have +p loads in them so if the 5 year old runs after a mass shooter they will have been control over the weapon and be more likely to hit their target......the older kids...I am thinking the 9 year olds...Glocks...and in the more advanced grades move them up to Sig Saur p226...just like the Navy Seals...until recently.....I think they would love to carry the guns the Seals used....

As for High School....probably allow them to carry AR-15s........

Actually.....as access to guns has become more prohibited.....and more laws have been put on the books we have more school shootings........in particular the law that makes schools gun free zones..............you know, that had never been the case before the gun free schools act......there weren't many school shootings.........

now....with all schools turned into gun free zones....for good people....only the killers can actually carry guns onto school grounds..........
