The centrists came couldn’t stand out because their policies were not outlandish. The progressives stand out because they push quixotic ideas that may not gain support from the independent voters.

Neither is sound policy. It’s all about winning elections. Open borders and Medicare for all are nothing more than campaign rhetoric for gullible voters who actually think it’s going to happen. It isn’t.
