How exactly does blocking her from meetings make the country better anyway?

I'm not a fan of all the protesting and think we should give people a chance, but with that said I think you misunderstand the goal of the protesting. It is to draw attention to Devos and sucritinize the things that the protestors disagree with so she doesn't freely run wild with an agenda that they fear will be damaging to our schools. This goal was and is being accomplished by the left.

Her politics, I assume they think her ideas will be bad for public schools and the poor. You'd have to listen to them to find out

I have BSEE and could teach math and physics, but see no reason to put those Education Majors out of a job. All I want is for the teachers to be held accountable for not doing their job.

Who has an education major? I don't. Neither do any of the teachers in my department. This is a perfect example of what you believe to be true turning out to be simple ignorance on your part because you are on the outside looking in, with education bashers filling your head with nonsense.

You have at least a bachelors degree and a teaching license that required education courses to get.

I taught math for my first three years with a bachelor's degree in history and no education courses. So you see, you don't know what you are talking about. You could easily do the same.

I also have news for you, people may be very good at their jobs but could not teach a fish to swim. I was a much better teacher after I finished my teacher certification courses and even better once I earned my Master's degree.

Apparently you can do that in some states, but in the state of Georgia you don't get hired until you complete the following.

· Obtain a bachelor's degree from an accredited university

· Complete a certain number of semester hours in an elementary education program that includes student teaching.

· Complete a certain number of semester hours in one teaching field such as math, science, language arts, reading, and history.

· Pass certification assessments that test basic skills, teacher competency, and knowledge of particular subjects.
