In case you're wondering, we already have places in the USA where we've fully implemented all the "great ideas" Progressives are trying to force on the entire country. These ideas include, anti-business, pro-union, high tax and regulation Nanny state gone wild.

In the heartland we have Detroit, once the epicenter of American commerce and the symbol of US entrepreneurship. The vehicles they manufactured were the envy of the world and easily accessible to almost every American. Detroit is now a dead, bankrupt city brought low by the UAW and one Party Democrat rule for generations.

In the East we have Newark, another one-Party run city, the second unsafest city in the county, (take a guess which is the first). The city is in financial trouble and instead of telling the unions to take a hit on their coffer draining pension, the city will cut CURRENT police force. Can you imagine anything more boneheaded and dangerous and suicidal?

The state of CA is de facto bankrupt and they just refused to postpone business killing Prop 23. They have committed economic suicide and will ask the rest of the country to bail them out.

When will even Democrats realize their ideas suck?

Director: Arthur Hiller
Writer: Paddy Chayefsky
Stars:George C. Scott, Diana Rigg and Barnard Hughes

Storyline
Herbert Block is chief of medicine in a major teaching hospital. His wife has left him, he is impotent and his children have both disowned him. He is toying with the idea of suicide when patients begin dying, not from complications, but from the erroneous treatments the Hospital is giving them. People in the wrong beds are given wrong medicines, sent to operating theaters for incorrect surgery, and found in waiting rooms dead of natural causes. Barbara Drummond has come to take her comatose father back to the Sioux reservation where he operates a clinic and they each reach out to each other for emotional support, as a shadowy figure stalks the patients and staff of the hospital.

Why is this post in this thread?

The dems share the blame for jobs moving to China and other offshore locations.
If they had not sent Bush to Vietnam we would not be importing stuff from there now.

We import more jobs than we export.
But don't let facts get in the way of your posting. They never have before.

This is not the first time you have posted this BS please elaborate and provide supporting evidence.

It's not the first time I've done both of those. To no discernible effect.

Dems never really have much of a comeback for when we post examples of liberal policies in action, such as Detroit, Newark, Chicago, California, etc.

Liberalism in the long run destroys cities. Why do they think it wont destory a country?

It's the equality and fairness doctrine they follow.

Since it's impossible to make a poor person rich, and equal to a rich person.

You must make everyone poor. We will all be equal in poverty, we will have to rely on the government for our daily bread. Once that's done, freedom is gone. You can't get rid of the hand that feeds you, when you no longer know how to feed yourself.

Misery loves company and the DNC is throwing a party,

Oh my goodness one hardly knows where to start with a thread this action packed with flawed logic.

Let's start with your original premise, shall we?

Detroit is in trouble because it's too liberal?

You don't suppose that the TRADE LAWS that allowed millions of Jap cars to erode Detroits monopoly on auto manufacturing had ANYTHING to do with the decline in Detroil, do you?

Of course you don't.

Such reality based thinking doesn't jib with that right wingt ideological POV, ergo reality must be ignored.

How about we do another union bailout to help the city?

Progressives have entered the final phase of their Death Wish for the USA.

Progressive run cities have been relying on their Progressive run states to bail them out and now the Progressives have finally succeeded in taking down entire US states. California will not survive intact. It will appeal to DC and when the Republicans force CA to essentially go bankrupt and restructure themselves and end their economy killing ways, CA will turn to the IMF for funding.

At the national level Progressives have finally succeeded in swamping the USA with unsustainable annual deficits of $1 trillion. Unless we make radical changes in 2012 in terms of defeating the Progressive Jihad, in terms of rolling back the size and scope of the US government, we will not survive as a nation we've come to know.

The Progressive Mecca of Detroit is our future. A small handful of elites, no middle class and whoever is left owes their soul to the government.

The Communist backed UAW is the main reason our auto industry is a ghost of itself. But as a rewards for killing Detroit, Obama's Government Motors paid the UAW half a billion and will gladly bail out the UAW unsustainable pension liability.

Unsustainable pension liability? Just look at govt employees of all types.
That is what is going to eat our lunch.

Idiotec, there is a flourishing car manufacturing industry here. Ask Nissan in Smyrna TN, or BMW in SC, or Mercedes on AL, or VW in Chattanooga TN. Why didn't these companies set up shop in Detroit, where there was already infrastructure and trained workers? Because the liberal tax and regulation and union policies of Detroit made it impossible to build cars profitably.

At least democrats confine poverty to the city level whereas the republicans like to spread it statewide.
