Anyone surprised?

In an interesting coincidence, in a number of precincts, Republican Ed Gillespie received fewer than 10 votes. Yet, this was not because of a lack of eligible voters.

Instead, Gillespie’s opponent, Mark Warner, did extremely well in such precincts, which numbered almost 20, drastically out-gaining his opponent. Warner went on to win.

Gillespie received 98 votes total when you add together the precincts where he received 9 or fewer votes. In those same precincts, Warner received an astounding 5,657 votes.

Even stranger is the fact that a number of these precincts were near each other and drastically favored Warner.

In Newport News City, there were seven precincts where Gillespie received fewer than 10 votes. Though Warner won the city 60.4-37.6%, in these seven precincts, the margin was an astronomical 98.5-1.5%, or 1,791-28.

But, but, but voter ID wouldn't have prevented that, so it's Bush's fault and you're a racist who hates women, poor people, and blacks.
