Of course you receive the standard hypocrisy from socialists who attack the wealthy even she is one herself and shills for major corporations. Wealth is always bad when someone else achieves it, but of course her wealth is well deserved. Disgusting.

Let me tell you how it will be
There's one for you, nineteen for me
Cos I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

Democrat Warren confronted over her 'One Percent' status

A Boston radio host called out U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren this week for criticizing America's "One Percent," noting that her net worth ranks her among the class she consistently attacks.

“How can you rail against the One Percent, when in a sense you are and live like the One Percent?,” Jeff Kuhner asked Warren on Monday in the hallway of the WRKO's studio, referring to the class of America's wealthiest people.

The Massachusetts Democrat responded with a brief history of her modest childhood, growing up with little money and how the opportunities in America allowed her to build her career.

“I had opportunities because America invested in kids like me,” Warren said, adding that those same opportunities are often no longer available to many people born in circumstances similar to hers as a youth.

But Kuhner continued to press the senator, accusing her of hypocrisy for her political rhetoric against the One Percent.

“You’re part of the One Percent and you rail against the One Percent, you don’t see the hypocrisy there?” Kuhner asked.

Warren has made a lucrative career in consulting for insurance companies and big banks, the Daily Caller reported. Estimates of the senator's net worth range from $3.7 million to $10 million, CNN reported.

Does Warren want to raise taxes on the one percent, including herself?

If so, where is the hypocrisy?

You think taxes will only be raised to the 1%? How about businesses? How will these taxes be used once collected? At what point will you be called The United States of Canada?

Minimal government, less taxation, less intervention and crony capitalism in the economy and more individual freedom is what allows nations to be exceptional and create great wealth. There are a number of reasons for inequality and other issues of poverty, none (or certainly very few) have to do with not taxing the wealthy enough as far as I am concerned.

Hey, I am very much against the liberal "tax the rich more" bullshit. Just check my history.

I'm all about LOWERING tax rates on EVERYONE by eliminating tax expenditures.

However, Warren is consistent in her philosophy. There is nothing hypocritical about her position.

Just like I keep taking advantage of tax expenditures as long as they are on the table. I would prefer they be completely eliminated, but it would be pretty stupid of me to leave money on the table in the meantime, especially since I am paying a tax rate that is high because of them in the first place.

Warren's philosophy is wrong, but she is not being hypocritical.

Democrats have no problem with extremely rich people....they just think they should pay more taxes

Warren is rich but she believes her own tax rate should be increased
Wealthy Republicans believe benefits to the poor should be reduced

That's not what she believes

She believes they profit more from them so should contribute more towards them
