    Al-Queda isn't winning.
    Muslims can handle democracy.
Freedom can ring loudly just a few years after a dictatorship collapsed.
Liberty and peace will triumph eventually.

"Yudhoyono is a practicing Muslim who was educated in a traditional pesantren, or Muslim boarding school."

Well offhand I'd say that not the kind of background that bodes well, among the rest of this mans' history.

hey, i hope he can improve the economy and the condition of people's lives while aggressively fighting the WOT from Indonesia's POV. They've got enemies, mostly the same that America does. Good, pragmatic leadership will carry him far if he is wise.
nevertheless, bravo to the indonesians for what seems to be shaping up to be a successful election period.
