Anyone miss Mubarak yet?

Democracy shouldn't be interfered with. Maybe if we respected them a little more, and listened to their concerns, they wouldn't hate us so much. :eusa_whistle: And isn't it just a bit selfish to think that the Egyptian people shouldn't be allowed to elect whomever the hell they chose just because their beliefs don't coincide with ours? I mean, if that's the case, well...we should just stop believing in the First Amendment, shouldn't we? Or are you one of those people who believes that the principles of the Constitution only apply to Americans?

On a side note: This whole 15 post thing is annoying...
So what about the Christians in Egypt. I wonder what the plan is for them. With the track record for the Islam states it wont look good. They do not tolerate anyone but people of the Islam religion.

Interesting question about the Christians. Is there an innate hatred of Christians by the Muslims or is this something fostered by forces who would have an interest in stirring the pot of hatred for their own gain?

One of the reasons why we had to stay in Iraq was to keep the Sunnis and Shiites from killing each other. It would be a blood bath if we left. However, several Iraqis being interviewed right after the beginning of the war when asked if he were Sunni or Shiite gave the same answer. "Nobody ever asked that question before the occupation."

I would look beneath the surface to find this answer.

The Christians in Egypt are getting their asses kicked out of the country or killed.

Yeah, stooge.

Quran 5:51
O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends. They are but friends to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as friends, then surely he is one of them.

Quran 60:4...
We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone"

The Egyptians have had a chance on the world stage to show that Christians in Egypt are equal to the Muslims and can live side by side, but they have squandered it and shown they are no different than the Iraqis and Pakistanis who chase Christians out into the streets and slaughter them. The Christians days in Egypt are numbered.

Islamic state. What does that mean?

Palestine is an Islamic state.

Except, Palestine was invented by the British after WW I and ceased to exist after termination of the British Mandate in 1948. It no longer exists.

If you find a Palestinian state in this list of states, you get a cookie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states
If you find Palestine on this UN map, you get extra time in the sand box: http://www.un.org/Depts/Cartographic/map/profile/israel.pdf

During 400 years of Muslim Ottoman rule, Palestine did not exist. Open a history book, dummy.

Cambridge University Press...
In Ottoman times, no political entity called Palestine existed. After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire at the end of the First World War, European boundary makers began to take greater interest in defining territorial limits for Palestine. Only since the 1920s has Palestine had formally delimited boundaries, though these have remained subject to repeated change and a source of bitter dispute.

Egypt was a good country when its population was Coptic Christian. After the Mahometan took over, Egypt went downhill, as in all Mahometan cesspools.

Lebanon used to be beautiful before too before it took in a shitload of Palestinian refugees and became an Islamic country.

Very true. When Lebanon was mostly Maronite Christian, Beirut was considered as beautiful as the south of France, before the Mahometan took over and ruined Lebanon.

And, Afghanistan was a peaceful country when Buddhist, until the Mahometan took over and destroyed the Buddhist temples and massacred the Buddhists.

Wrong, again, needledick.

President John F. Kennedy...
I first saw Palestine in 1939. There the neglect and ruin left by centuries of Ottoman [Muslim] misrule were slowly being transformed by miracles of [Jewish] labor and sacrifice. But Palestine was still a land of promise in 1939, rather than a land of fulfillment. I returned in 1951 to see the grandeur of Israel. In 3 years this new state had opened its doors to 600,000 immigrants and refugees. Even while fighting for its own survival, Israel had given new hope to the persecuted and new dignity to the pattern of Jewish life. I left with the conviction that the United Nations may have conferred on Israel the credentials of nationhood; but its own idealism and courage, its own sacrifice and generosity, had earned the credentials of immortality.

Again, it would appear that the New Egypt is a threat to Israel.

Coordinated attacks in south kill 8 - Haaretz Daily Newspaper | Israel News
IDF sources said that since Egyptians toppled President Hosni Mubarak’s regime in February, the number of warnings about terror attacks from Sinai has doubled. Arms smuggling into Gaza from Sinai has also surged since Mubarak’s fall. Most of the weapons come from Iran via Sudan, but more recently, arms taken from Libyan army depots left unguarded due to that country’s civil war have also arrived.

Mubarak was keeping the peace with Israel for the most part, with him gone its open season now.

Mubarak was a brutal dictator.

He only stayed in power because of your American money and weapons.

The average for Egyptian person hated him and knew he was an American puppet dictator.

Which is typical of American foreign-policy.

Mouth the words of democracy for everyone.

But help keep dictators in power.

And we wonder why people in other countries hate us ??
