This is my neck of the woods. PG County. We have issues hiring and vetting qualified teachers because we are a middle class ghetto dominated by a culture of fatherlessness. Good, vetted teachers don't want to teach here. Even though the median income is on par with the richest counties of half the states in the country.
We have a celebrated football coach who was excused when caught with a girl in the woods after school. He was later fired for falsifying his criminal record on his job app.
But he was rehired at another county school like nothing happened.

The suspension of the principal is standard procedure in something like this. I think there is more to the story (at least for the principal). The principal might not have known and there might not have been signs the principal could see. I think the school is just CYA in case the principal DID notice signs and ignore them. Time will tell of course.
