Darfur crisis is almost over. There are more pieces of evidence that the crisis has come to end. The armed movements have failed and forgot their political demand s to become just a gang of robbers and looters.

Using arms for the intimidation, looting and robbing was known to the region. The phenomenon came from the neighboring Chad under Hissene Habre and Goukouni Oueddei.

From that time, weapons have become invaluable money generating source. Before that time, before people used only spears and sticks.

Proliferation of weapons has enabled people with hidden agenda to assume political activities but the plan backfired when they were exploited by foreign bodies to spark the crisis in the region.

Justice and Equality Movement for example has realized that they are only victims of foreign plots, so it has decided to join peace process in Doha where it signed agreements with the Sudanese government on participation and integration of its force.

Some rebels factions in Kampala and Juba have refused to embrace peace, although they know that they will lose the war if efforts for the reconstruction and development of Darfur have succeeded.
Hopefully, the donours conference for rehabilitation of Darfur scheduled for April in Doha will allure more support than is needed for the development and reconstruction of the region.

The Sudanese authorities will then be devoted to bring robbers and looters to justice, fix tolerance and co existence in the region and put an end to the presence of the peace keeping mission in Sudan.

The crisis is over and the only challenge is to reinforce stability and security for sustainable development and lasting stability.Factions refusing to join peace will soon be at crossroads.
