The Ukraine can only become a conditional Nato member, without the protection of article 5, for obvious reasons.
But if that's permitted, doesn't that make a joke out of Nato?

So we can only believe that article 5 has become an inconvenience to the Ukraine. The Ukraine is effectively forced to end the war before Nato could even consider letting the Ukraine in. Then maybe start the war again for America with the Ukraine being significantly smaller in land mass.

One thing for sure, Russia has more Ukraine than they need or even want and they're not going to give it back!
