Current divergent evolution proof

One of my favorite discussion buddies is somewhat stuck on a topic. He is searching for proof of divergent evolution. In a way this seems a war of words his search for a cat-dog. In a way this seems serious. Where is the horse which is only half a horse?

I have mentioned some instances of crows being stuck on opposite sides of mountain ranges not breeding with eachother except in dire circumstances. Lions and tigers amd their reproductive issues as well as horses and donkeys.

Can anyone think of another answer? I fear he is looking for the half human - half monkey which horny slightly more than half humans interbreeded with over the tens of thousands of years.

All creatures are the product of "Divergent Evolution". You are looking for creatures that are still in the early stages of "diverging". There are a number in the equine family that can still interbreed including Zebra, Horses and Donkeys. Each group can successfully breed with the other.
