Cuomo urges Dems in Congress to shut down government to get gun control law
Gov. Cuomo, speaking at the funeral of his murdered aide Saturday, urged Washington Democrats to shut down the government until they get a gun control bill that works.

Often times quoting scripture, Cuomo compared Gabay’s death to the massacres at Newtown, Conn., Charleston, S.C., and the movie theater shooting at Aurora, Colo.

He also called upon his fellow Democrats in Congress to shut down the government until they get an iron-clad national gun control law passed.

Yes…it does. The gun control measures pushed by anti gun activists make it harder for people to own or carry guns…and it has been given a chance all around the country and it has been shown not to work….Chicago, D.C., Baltimore and all the cities with extreme gun control are the ones with the highest gun murder rates.

bill clinton commissioned a gun self defense study after Dr. Gary Kleck's study came out. He his Department of Justice hired two rabidly anti gun researchers to create and execute a study to determine how often people use guns to stop crime…..what did they find with the study they created…Americans use guns 1.5 million times a year to stop violent criminal attack and save lives.

And this isn't the only study that shows this, the average of all the non police, non military studies show about 2 million times a year. Not to forget that guns are the most effective way to stop a rape attempt, followed distantly by a knife.

When you have to pay extra to buy a gun, when you have to wait longer to get a gun because anti gun bureaucrats make it impossible to get a gun…..innocent people are hurt. Like the woman in New Jersey waiting for her concealed carry permit who was stabbed to death by her ex husband……..

So yes…gun control laws which do nothing to stop or prevent or solve violent crime, but keep normal, law abiding people from owning and carrying guns do keep people from getting guns…...

In NYC I cannot get a handgun legally without spending over $1000, and even then it cannot leave my house, and it has to be unloaded at all times.

Get rid of bullshit laws like this first, then we can discuss expanded background checks.
