CSPAN uses photo from Beck rally as One nation Photo

A lot of news agencies use stock photos but yeah, they should have at least been honest about it.

CPAN shot it live, and showed the whole thing. Did they use one for a commercial or something?

So they used one shot for the story they ran before the event. Big deal.
I do love the partisan shots the author took, though.

I just got done doing an extensive search for Photos from this event.

I have to revise my early comments.

No way in Hell it was as many people as Becks rally.

To sparse.

Right and I don't think it actually helped anybody's cause either. The CPA showing up REALLY didn't help the cause.

I keep telling people, independents and undecided voters fear radical christian rightists, but they fear communists FAR MORE.

Personally I abjure them both. So neither rally did anything for me.

Don't think anyone ever said there was. I saw that photo when someone posted it right when the rally started. It was obviously for promotion.
I watched the rally on CSpan and MSNBC, and both said there was probably only10 to 20,000 + or -. CSpan also ran the whole rally. If they wanted to hide how many people were there they would have not showed the whole event.
Of course some partisan hack blogger ran with promotion article.

:clap2: ON being partisan morons.

Don't even act like you wouldn't have exploded had FoxNews done something like this.

Gateway Pundit

CSPAN is airing the leftist “One Socialist Nation” rally today in Washington DC.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have a good crowd shot of the turnout… So they used a photo from a Glenn Beck tea party rally.

If true, this is funny as hell.

so they ran it once ? as a probation? hummmm, back track.

Right Wing blogger did do this. Remember the rally on Tax Day? I didn't really give a shit then, and I don't give a shit now.,
At least in this case they posted a stock photo before the event started, the blogger posted the other photo the next day.
And I am positive Fox News uses stock photos all the time, but nice try shit bag.

If true that really ticks me off. I gave C-span a lot more credit than that. You just don't do this by accident either.

Go to thread someone started this morning, someone posted the same pic. It was a STOCK PHOTO used for promotion. Cspan ran the WHOLE event, I doubt they are trying to hide anything. Seriously, this is a non issue.

It's true, here is the picture when Reuters carried it for Becks, Restoring Honor rally-

Pics here:

Beck, Palin urge patriotic values at D.C. rally | Reuters

Page over to the fourth picture and it is the SAME picture in the article you have which Reuters had for Becks rally. Picture 4 of 8.

the link shows a pic with an article or short description next to it....reading the verbiage I cannot help but think they should not have used that photo, especially without approbation.

If its a mistake its fine, its dumb and shit happens.
I personally give c-span high marks for non partisanship. if they covered the beck rally they just may have had the photo out for comparisons they would use to compare crowd sizes etc. i assume...but inserting it there and adding the article next to it doesn't look good.

well it may be obvious to you and me and many of us, but this isn't a normal media environment Luissa, you know that. What can be misconstrued, will be. I am sure if I were the editor there we would not do that again.
