Ken Ham's giant ark park is right next to a tiny town, which has to provide police and fire protection. That was overwhelming the resources of the town, so the town added a 50 cents per ticket safety fee tax to pay for all that.
Ham didn't want to pay that, so sold the whole park for $10 to a non-profit that he owned himself, and declared himself immune to the tax, because it was a non-profit.
That violated the terms of their contract with the state, so the state said they were yanking their $18 million tax credit.
And everyone laughed hard. Except Ham, who is crying.
