The Court of Owls was comprised of key members of human society in modern civilization. The Court of Owls wanted to help America's favorite vigilante Batman deal with all the nefarious elements of society by providing him with righteous advice for good living and tempered capitalism which would deter human beings from sulking into the gluttony of 'convenience consumerism.'
The Court of Owls presented a set of lifestyle 'guidelines' which Batman kept on file:
1. Murder blasphemes the sanctity of private fear
2. Rape is a glaring sign of sexual perversion
3. Censorship means governments seek compromise
4. Commerce is a method for negotiation
5. Biochemical warfare is modern savagery and cruel
6. Weapons are as important as how they are used
7. Tools reflect both intelligence and wisdom
8. Domestic values are celebrated during holiday festivals
9. Religious persecution is the sign of the Devil
10. Suburbia is a modern achievement
Batman noticed that the Court of Owls mentioned nothing about the modern problem of narcotics trafficking, so Batman picked up the slack on their behalf and went investigating the criminal patterns of notorious American druglords hiding somewhere in North America. Batman was inspired and determined to prove that the messages and aphorisms of the shrewd Court of Owls would be respected as modernism 'symbols' of the human interest in civics management and, above all, peace. Now, all that was necessary was to 'indoctrinate' U.S. President Donald Trump.
