Ben Carson is toast. Thank god, I couldn't stand the creep. Wall Street Journal has nailed his skanky ass today:

GOP presidential contender Ben Carson saved many lives in the operating theater as a pediatric neurosurgeon. For a few patients, he recommended a more unconventional treatment: nutritional supplements made by Mannatech Inc.

He “was very effusive in his praise of Mannatech,” recalled Randy Siegel, a New York publishing executive who said he consulted with Mr. Carson at Johns Hopkins in 2005 about his 8-year-old daughter’s severe epilepsy. “He talked about what amazing success they were having with it in all kinds of conditions,” including cancer and autism.

Mr. Siegel said Mr. Carson arranged for him to buy Mannatech products, which are made of substances such as larch-tree bark and aloe vera extract, through his medical-office assistant, who is now on Mr. Carson’s campaign staff. Mr. Siegel said he spent more than $2,600 on supplements over two years, before deciding they were ineffective.

During a campaign that has made him a top GOP contender, Mr. Carson has tried to distance himself from Mannatech, which has battled regulators’ accusations that it made deceptive health claims for its products.

“It is absolutely absurd to say that I had any kind of relationship” with Mannatech, Mr. Carson said when asked about those ties during an October GOP debate. He said at the debate that he gave “a couple of speeches” for the company and believes its supplements helped him personally. Mannatech, based in Coppell, Texas, said Mr. Carson has never been a paid endorser or spokesman.
