Conservative Contempt & Hatred of the Democratic Process

Your premise is flawed. You are confusing the democratic process with the legislative process.

I'm hoping that the judicial process will kick-in and the healthcare bill will be declare unconstitutional. That would be a very good end to the healthcare debate.

end the health care debate? You believe health care is fine the way it is?

A damn sight better than what they're cooking up in the back room. Trillions of dollars to insure 10 million people? Jail terms for not buying a financial product? More bureaucracy? No thanks. We can do better.

State AGs are mobilizing as we speak to urge just that outcome. Then watch the Left scream about subverting the democratic process.
Oops, the left opposes this piece of shit legislation too.
so you support GOP partisan hacks wasting tax payer money and government time on frivolous lawsuits meant to shore up the wingnut base?

go figure

When did conservative hatred and contempt of the Democratic process become so acceptable?
.
The...shit goes on....

Your apparent dishonesty here is quite telling. Conservatives don't hate the democratic process.....what they hate is the fact that it's been hijacked by a bunch of hyper partisan left wing loon progressives who want to remold our country in the European model. Simply blaming conservatives for everything is really quite stupid and naive on your part....and frankly getting a little boring. The way you and those like you have to have someone to blae for all that's wrong is really quite dishonest.
.
European model? Left wing loons? Sure the Bush fiscal guys Obama kept on and the Wall Street Gurus from the Clinton years all want a socialist economy.

Do you know how fucking nuts that makes you sound?

gawd, you better stop listening to shit and save up for a community college course in critical thinking.

When did conservative hatred and contempt of the Democratic ...

The... shit goes on....
When the republicans were in power they DID in fact practice bi-partisanship....but you choose to call it forcing the Democrats to obtain Republican co-sponsors. In nearly EVERY SINGLE BILL brought to the floor in Congress by Rep's during the Bush years there were Democrat co-sponsors and vice versa.
true. What happened was under the House leadership GOP...Dems couldn' get a bill to the floor without restrictions on how many GOP cosponsers were required. The GOP made the House less democratic then it had been.

Facts suck,eh?

Rabbi presents another example of his contempt for facts. No one will be jailed for "not buying a financial product" (and even if they did, they would not be tortured or held in contempt of habeas corpus); trillions to insure 10 million is pure hyperbole, and ask any doctor/dentist about claims adjusters and their role in 'providing' healthcare to Americans.
All of the arguments against reform of the insurance industry - in fact, that's what most Americans, conservative and liberal, want, are emotional. Rabbi cannot provide a reason (as in rational) or a defense of the right wing opposition to reform, unless he supports avarice and lies.

What's the matter? Can't stand to see 2 sides working together like they should? Is the current state of affairs what YOU like to see happening?

and I could care less that some loons attacked Obama's birth certificate...it's meaningless in the big picture as the guy's President and you just need something to whine about.

You're entitled to your opinion but I think if you stepped back and really looked at the situation you would see that this contempt began happening long before Bush.
The contempt some opponents felt for each other in the past exploded during the 1992 Pres election. And under Tip O'Neil, Reagan was given room and respect to do things. The GOP fucked things up after Newt' contract

"Any plan I sign must include an insurance exchange -- a one-stop shopping marketplace where you can compare the benefits, costs, and track records of a variety of plans -- including a public option to increase competition and keep insurance companies honest."

So . . . what happened? Approaching the finish line the house starts to negotiate? Cm on guys you can do it!

compromise between ideological groups if not between partiies.

Compromise has become a dirty word for the fringe groups on all sides and this includes a side that comprises the current leadership of the GOP.

I support efforts to enforce the U.S. COnstitution, something the Left is in total contempt of. Yes, it is a serious question, Nancy.

I struggle in vain to find anything worthwhile or redeeming in any of your posts. Lies and avarice are your middle names.
Here is the communist news network:
Individuals under both plans would be required to purchase coverage, but the House bill includes more stringent penalties for most of those who fail to comply. The House bill would impose a fine of up to 2.5 percent of an individual's income. The Senate plan would require individuals to purchase health insurance coverage or face a fine of up to $750 or 2 percent of his or her income, whichever is greater. Both versions include a hardship exemption for poorer Americans.
Now, what happens when you don't pay your "fine" to the IRS? WHat happens when you don't pay your taxes to the IRS? You go to jail, right.
So yes, they will be jailing people for not buying health insurance, which is a financial product.
Your lies have been exposed. Now, get back under that rock.

Critical thinking my ass...that's what's got this country so fucked up right now is asses like you who apply bullshit left wing ideology to everything you dissect with your so-called "critical thinking" skills. So take your community college course and shove it.

You simply are a partisan hack who likes to blame all your problems on someone else. Why don't you re-evaluate your life and stand up for yourself...then get an education...quit relying on the government to carry your fucking load in life.

Now...do you see how really stupid and lazy you appear to be?

That's because we all be a bunch of Un-American Nazis. Well that's what Nancy Pelosi calls us anyway. Joking aside, you haven't proven that Conservatives have Contempt & Hatred of the Democratic process. You may disagree with their politics but you have not proven that they hate the Democratic process. It actually just sounds like you yourself have an awful lot of Contempt & Hatred for anyone who disagrees with you politically. So i guess i could ask you...When did Liberal Contempt & Hatred of the Democratic process become so acceptable? It really does work both ways if we are to buy into your twisted premise. Oh well, that's how i see it ayway. Good luck with that though.

10 million? Trillions to insure 10 million? No one is stupid enough to believe that. It's just not possilble.

When did conservative hatred and contempt of the Democratic process become so acceptable?

Try convincing anyone with even an ounce of integrity and fairness that conservatives have shown respect for the democratic process.

When they were in power recently they would not even allow a bill sponsored by a Dem to reach the House Floor unless it had a few GOP cosponsors. They had come to power with W who promosed a bipartanship agenda...uniter not divider.

Then Obama and the Dems win everything and the conservatives use the GOP to block every little thing and even go so far as to question the elligibility of and citizenship status of the duly elected President of the United States of America.

If this isn't one example of contempt and hatred of the democratic process and the principles on which this nation was founded, I don't know what is.

Mitch McConnell was confronted with the fact that his party and he were complaining about things they themselves had been doing only a year ago and he laughed.

The list of shit goes on....

Conservative contempt has nothing to do with the democratic process. It has to do with fascists calling themselves democrats.

You're right: The real cost remains unknown. Whatever it is, it is lots more than the official scoring, which relies on assumptions everyone knows are false.
As for the number of uninsureds: there are roughly 40M uninsured. About 10M are eligible for current gov't programs. About 10M simply choose not to buy health insurance. About 10M are illegals. So that leaves 10M that the bill will cover.
No one is stupid enough to believe Reid's claims for this bill. No one except you, that is.

I believe the senate bill as passed will cost well over $1T in the next 10 years. Possibly many times that. And since there are only 10M who would otherwise not be covered, then that is the number that this bill specifically will cover who otherwise wouldn't be.
Do you disagree with any of this?

Don't you really feel secretly, deep down. When it comes to those who aren't covered, "screw 'em. Who cares?" Isn't that how Republicans feel?

The Democrats have the WH and both houses of Congress and they are still complaining about those bad bad bad Republicans. Please tell me when you guys are going to stop whining about Bush and the Republicans and lead this country. You were crying about the last 8 years and how things sucked. Now you have the control and the power to lead and all you do is cry about the Republicans.

Love them or hate them the Republicans when in power lead. When in power the Democrats cry like babies about how the Republicans treated them.

You wanted the WH you got it now try leading and stop crying.

Republicans are simple. To them, everything is in black and white. If you are a Republican, you walk in lockstep. You are mostly of one race and one religion and one education (not much). They are referred to, with good reason, as a "monolithic group".

Democrats on the other hand, are a broad coalition made up of many diverse groups. For them, to resolve an issue, requires negotiation and compromise. Something too difficult for the monolithic Republicans to understand. They just don't --------- get --------it.

All the Republican lies and smears. They have plenty of negative effect. For one, many Americans don't understand how one group of Americans could work against the best interests of the country, just to bring down the president.
