Common Sense versus Complete Stupidity

I start every day smiling and end every day laughing out loud

in between I throw up in my mouth every time I hear his name

That doesn't sound good. You should seek immediate medical attention. You might be suffering mild delusions from food poisoning. If you're going to throw up, you should let it all come out. Keeping it in your mouth will let the bacteria and bile fester in your gums, and you could end up loosing a lot of teeth.

In March, Mr Obama's transportation secretary, Ray LaHood, announced a policy change that gives biking and walking projects the same importance as automobiles in transportation planning and the selection of projects for federal money.

The Obama administration more than doubled spending on cycling and walking initiatives to $1.2 billion

there is the example of complete stupidity. Does the insane person in the oval office have any idea where the economy is ? and he wants to spend 1.2 billion on bicycle and walking?
Not only that...How many people who walk and ride bicycles pay the fuel taxes that are being siphoned off to pay for these do-good-feel-good programs?

It is interstate commerce. How else do people take vacations?
huh?

During the administration of President George W Bush, Mary Peters, transportation secretary, dismissed biking paths and trails as projects that "really are not transportation," saying they had no place in federal transportation policy.

There is an example of common sense.

then has the balls to ask for more unemployment benefits, etc?

every morning I go to my computer, open a program titled obama.
I send it to the recycle bin, hit the empty button, and the computer always
asks me if I am sure I want to permanently delete this program. I emphatically
click YES and it makes my day start right.

at night- when the oval office idiots news has beaten america down all day and I might
be feeling sorry for myself, as I crawl under the covers

I pause- I close my eyes- I picture a man somewhere crawling under his covers

Its infrastructure, it creates jobs. Simple as that.

And just how many private sector jobs has Obama created?
How many has he killed? That's a more important issue.

He's created a lot of government jobs...to add their salaries and costs of continued votes for big government to the tax burden of the general public.

The above posters are idiot shallow non thinkers.

blah, blah, blah

Bikes are smart..the above contributors are ignorant assholes.

Well, let's see.

A cyclist is riding, presumably in an effort to improve their health, save money on fuel and protect the environment.

A) As you're humping and pumping your way along the roadways, I have to wEnder just how much "clean air" you're breathing... Yeah. You're breathing in the most potent concentration of EXHAUST FUMES available, outside of your hose-attached-to-your-tailpipe-type scenario...

B) In breathing these fumes, you're not as focused, and you're certainly NOT as steady on your feet, so odds of you careening into traffic increase significantly...

Yeah, well, you sound like a Deep Thinker to me, so YOU just Keep On Biking, pal!!! :eusa_clap:

Some of yall must live in big cities, where I live biking to work and or the store is not a viable option, nor is mass transit.

yea because everyone should buy a car instead of walking and biking when they live close to their destination :cuckoo:

if anything bikers and walkers should be given more priority and cars downgraded

The correct question is... what is Barack Obama's REAL purpose?

Is he really this stupid and inept? I do not believe it is possible for someone to be elected to office who is this unequivocally stupid.

The only other option is... it's deliberate and he is trying to destroy this nation. If someone can think of another, I'd love to hear it, but I doubt the theory will hold water as much as the simplest solution of deliberate destruction or blitheringly, blinding stupidity.

No, he's not stupid, the stupid ones are the ones that didn't listen to his campaign speeches and pay attention to who he had surrounded himself with and are now surprised at what's he's doing.

Hell , I'll go even further, the people who support him aren't stupid either. They are just chicken to admit that they want a socialist empire, and I don't get that. I'd have a lot more respect if they were honest about their goal. I wouldn't agree with them, but I would respect their honesty.

Jobs are jobs. They are vehicles to making money which in turn is spent, which in turn creates private sector jobs.

Don't be obtuse, no one who was hired as a part time census worker is going to be creating jobs.

I would like to see bike riders and owners to star paying their fair share of taxes on this now since we are designing for them. I think that would be equitable... don't you?

I'm curious, do these biker owners not own cars? Do they not buy products which are shipped via truck so that they are in fact paying road taxes which have been built into the products they purchase?

This is a silly argument. Is it a silly way to spend money? Maybe, I don't know , but this notion that only some people deserve a share of the government funds i silly. You want to argue about a waste of tax money go down and argue about the fucking squirrel bridge, or any number of stupid such projects.

You like bike paths and buses, pay for them yourself.

Hell no, we will all pay for them. That way we get to hear dingleberries like you piss and moan:lol:
yeah, you just stick a gun in the face of those who can't use them because they live to far away or don't use them because they're sane and have cars to pay for them so you don't have to suffer the real cost of them.

But then again, I expect this type of belief from someone with the gun in their hands or standing to benefit from what was stolen. Nothing more than an accomplice to the crime.

Well, every bike rider is one less car on the highway. And, when they peddle home a few miles, arriving there far sooner than you, because they were not sitting in a traffic jam, burning fuel, going 2 mph, at best, perhaps you should rethink the whole bike versus car issue.

What's a matter, little softhanded school marm? Don't believe in the Second Amendment?

agreeing that I have a right to shoot your ass dead if you try to rob me even if it is through government? Good of you to acknowledge the right to rebel against an out of control government.

Two... I love it when you bite on deliberately falsified information. You're just so GOOD at that!

No, "we" don't all pay for them.

Shameless moochers like you misappropriate funds meant to build and maintain roads and bridges for your little pork scams.

In any case, we just couldn't have a thread about complete stupidity without you chiming in, so I imagine you've "paid your fair share", so to speak, for the day.

BTW, the Twin Cities Light rail had an operational shortfall of 13 million last quarter. Who's pocket should that come out of? I think they should raise fares to cover expenses... don't you?

oh and ridership is a fraction of what they predicted. Maybe we can make up for that by passing a law forcing people to take the light rail one time a week whether they need to or not. If they don't we can fine them or jail them, and if they do... well they can pay the REAL rate for a ticket. How's that sound?
