It is amazing that most all the socialist experiments throughout history in small setting always ended either do to overwhelming debt, overpowering rulers or unexpected disasters. I guess people thought it would be different for a big countries but nope turning out just the same.

Yea but the printing press only works as long as the rest of the world is willing to accept the dollar as the world currency. How much longer you think we can keep printing money before there is a decision to change it back to the pound or to the euro, yuan or yen? Most likely it will be the SDR distributed by the IMF. When that happens America is in deep, deep trouble.
