The government shut down showed us that people can’t go a week without losing a paycheck because of the amount of money they get.

Republicans think that’s a great sign of a really good economy.

I’m guessing they figure, well if they can go more than two days without a paycheck, then they’re doing great.

Noooooo, it showed that the government workers are amazingly poor money managers. Stands to reason, they work for the government, thus they are used to being showered with OTHER PEOPLES MONEY.

No wonder they can't keep a balance in their checking accounts.

Most Americans work paycheck to paycheck, so we could layoff most of the low wage jobs in red state country and no one would notice?

Moving your asshole factor to 7.

Most Americans make a fraction of what government workers make. Moving your ignorance level up to 9.

A fraction?

Can you provide any meaningfull documention to this dilusion?

Sheesh, you really are that incompetent, aren't you....

Trends in Federal and Private Pay
In 2017 federal civilian workers had an average wage of $90,794, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).5 By comparison, the average wage for the nation’s 116 million private-sector workers was $61,311. Figure 1 shows that average federal wages grew rapidly for a decade, then slowed during the partial pay freeze, and then have risen again in recent years.

you are comparing apples to oranges.

The average age of a Fed worker is 47.5 with almost 14 years of experience on the job. There are very few if any entry level jobs in the government, 52% of fed workers have a bachelors, as compared to 36% for the general population. Also, 95% are full time as opposed to about 83% for the general population.

Like we saw in the VA scandal that caused the deaths of Americans- even when they get fired they immediately get rehired.

Thanks to obummercare which caused companies to convert huge numbers of workers from full to part time. Thanks for pointing that out.

That is a huge problem and Trump has addressed it somewhat, I applaud him for that. His changes that make it easier to fire a government worker were also a step in the right direction.

That is another one of those parroted talking points with no basis in reality. There was no real change in the part time to full time ratio after ObamaCare was passed, except there were fewer part time jobs.

ObamaCare sucks and fucked up the healthcare system, but the whole part time myth does not exist.

The Left Reached Their Outrage High on Election Night and when Clinton & Obama weaponized a Russian Dossier, The FBI, DOJ & FISA Court against The President, so anyone with wisdom would tell you that they cannot keep their outrage at that level, nor can they continue to promote a hoax and lies.

They will continue to fade as The 2020 election draws near.

I've got $1 that says if Trump cured cancer

Thats great because I have $1000 on Trump not having anything to do with researching, let alone curing cancer.

Maybe you confused him with Jesus again?

The facts say otherwise.

Everyone should be happy with the steady economy we've had for some 118 months. To bad we've increased the Debt and Deficit during these so-called economic good times. But like good Trumpublicans' they'll blame all that on the next Democrat president in 2021.
