The men were part of a group of hunters and told authorities they were attacked by people who had illegally crossed the nearby border and tried to steal an RV some of the hunters were using.

An investigation found that Daugherty shot Roberts and Bryant shot Daugherty, Dominguez said.

The hunters' claim became fodder for a Facebook post by Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, who wrote the attack was another reason why a wall must be built to secure the Texas border to halt "violent criminals and members of drug cartels coming in."

A couple days ago, these guys were the heroes of the right, brave men who sacrificed their bodies to stop the invading Mexicans.

Today? They've suddenly become "not righties".

Yep, same old same old. The most hardcore righties are instantly transformed into not-righties as soon as it's discovered they're criminals.

Now, these guys didn't start out as criminals. They started out as paranoid morons. One of 'em heard a twig snap in the dark, decided Mexicans were attacking, opened fire with no announcement at unknown targets, the people getting fired on fired back, and 2 people got shot by friendly fire. Not really criminal, just stupid.

What follows was the criminal part. They faked the story about Mexicans.

And then they started a GoFundMe page, and used their fake story to fleece righties like FJO of at least $20,000.

Up until a few days ago, they were the heroes of the right. And they still are, to many righties, who claim that law enforcement is faking a story to persecute those brave Spartans who stood fast against the Mexican hordes.
